Lelio Orci Prize awarded to Markus Aebi

During the "Life Sciences Switzerland" Annual Meeting 2017 that took place from 2 to 3 February on the University of Zurich's Irchel Campus, the Lelio Orci Award was given to Markus Aebi, professor at the Institute of Microbiology of ETH Zurich.

The Lelio Orci Award was initiated in 2015 by Lelio Orci, emeritus professor at the University of Geneva (Faculty of Medicine). The objective of the award is to honor an outstanding scientist for his/her research achievements or a promising young researcher in the field of Cellular Biology.

Markus Aebi is the second recipient of this award. The award ceremony took place at the end of the annual meeting of "Life Sciences Switzerland" (LS2). As part of the transfer ceremony, Markus Aebi presented his work on "The Making of N-glycoproteins".
